A Board of Directors (BOD) is a governing body for an organization. The BOD has several responsibilities which can be loosely grouped as follows:
- Setting the policy for the organization
- Monitoring the organization’s operations
- Serving as a public figure for the organization
- Fufilling other board responsibilities as assigned
